Hamamelidaceae

Family Description

A family of about 26 genera and about 100 species, pantropic but extending into high latitudes in the northern hemisphere; three genera occur naturally in Australia.

Genera

Neostrearia - A monotypic genus endemic to Australia. Hewson (1989); Smith (1958).

Noahdendron - A monotypic genus endemic to Australia. Endress et al. (1985); Hewson (1989).

Ostrearia - A monotypic genus endemic to Australia. Hewson (1989); Smith (1958).
